If your car is BMW 2 series F20,you purchased BMW 3 series F30 car multimedia player touchscreen, so it is not compatible with your vehicle models.
Note:
A: 1 2 Series models distinguish between left-hand drive and right-hand drive configurations, and support both CIC( is 6 pin LVDS) and NBT systems.
B: 3 4 Series models do not distinguish between left-hand drive and right-hand drive configurations; however, they support only the NBT system and do not support CIC or EVO.
How do I set the basic parameters after installation?
I. You also need to make sure the original optic fiber cable(Green cable) is connected to our power cable，like the below photo.
II. If the following situations occur, it's not due to screen damage; you simply need to adjust the screen resolution settings.
III. Steps for setting screen resolution:
A. Choose the setting option.
B. Choose system – Factory
C. The factory password is 8866.
D. Select the original car's models and screen size
E. Select the correct resolution one by one,Continue until the original vehicle system menu displays correctly.
IV. Questions: In the CarPlay system, if you find there is no sound when playing music, you can first check whether you are using a Bluetooth connection.
Solution:
A. Choose the setting option.
B. Choose the system — Factory
C. Enter 8866 in the factory.
D. Find out CP/AA voice-grade channel — Car.
V. If you find that you have successfully connected via Bluetooth, but there is still no sound in the CarPlay system, you will need to purchase an AUX cable locally. The method for activating the AUX settings is the same for both CIC and NBT systems.
A. Connect AUX cable
B. Plug the AUX cable into the original AUX interface in the glove box.
C. Choose Multimedia.
D. Choose External devices,Activate AUX functionChoose the AUX front.
E. Finally,return carplay system,check if there is sound.
F. If there's still no sound, try connecting the AUX cable to your phone's AUX port to test whether the phone produces sound.
If you hear sound, the car's AUX port is functioning properly.
If there's no sound, the car's AUX port may be faulty and require repair.

I am very pleased with the screen; it works properly. The installation was simple and combined with the rearview camera, I spent about 3 hours on it. There are probably systems that work better or have a nicer image, but for 135 euros (coupons) it is definitely recommended.

Read other reviews which are definitely mixed but i decided to purchase the unit (january 2026) with rear camera as this screen is a lot cheaper then others and honestly it is 90% spot on.
I have the f20 1 series lci with the nbt idrive and 6.5″ screen and the aftermarket unit fits like a glove giving the car a massive interior upgrade and bringing the infotainment up to today’s standards.
The only negative, i had to route the supplied aux cable (which only took an extra 10 minutes) tucking the cable under the plastic along by the drivers seat as i could not get the sound to work over bluetooth.
Don’t let that put you off the unit as the sound quality is now much better then before with the cars original bluetooth and speakers.
The reverse camera was fairly easy.
Important note: i drive a manual and in the instructions your told to use a camera fitter and wire the camera into the reverse light but if you have rear parking sensors you do not need to do this.

Works perfectly, seller is very responsive to answer questions, original function of the car is preserved.
The only downside is that the touchscreen is not multi-touch, which is a shame for zooming on navigation maps.

Brilliant unit for the money.
Fits and works in my 2012 f30 cic with entry hu.
Aux out sound quality is ok but the volume is way too low, you have to turn the stereo up to max to hear it and then you have a terrible hiss over the audio. I worked around this by setting audio output to phone and using bt audio to connect to my car (cheap usb bluetooth audio dongle).
For what i paid for the unit and the fact that it works well in every other aspect i don’t feel this is too much of a problem.

Don’t be afraid to install it, nothing too complicated, everything is easy to follow in the instructions, it’s like assembling LEGO, just the reversing camera requires a little bit of basic electrical knowledge, but apart from that, it’s amazing for a 2013 F20.
