The announced gain of 25 dBi is optimistic, hence one star less. I rather think of a value of 15 dBi being broad.
I used this directional antenna to improve the Wifi signal on an ESP32 located outdoors, so with a wall separating the router from the ESP32. I was at the limit of good reception, between -72 to -80 dBm with an improved 6 dBi antenna of 17 cm length that can be found for sale on Aliexpress.
With this Yagi antenna, I was able to gain about 5 dBm. I expected more, but the signal level is now sufficient for my use. I set it up with horizontal polarization because the signal is better than vertical. For this, I had to re-drill to change the direction of the fixing pin.
I am generally satisfied with this purchase but do not expect miracles under very difficult conditions.
The construction appears to be of high quality with a cable of a good outer diameter compared to certain products.
