First impressions were that the laser is compact and quite functional. It’s very easy to use, and doesn’t take you long to get up and engraving. Total engraving area is 80mm x 80mm, so adequate to engraved coasters, keyrings and the like. I’m currently engraving on to a slate coaster, and because of the limitations of the laser power, i’m giving it 4 passes at 100% power, it may need another pass, i’ll see how it goes, but the main thing is that it is engraving slate. Laser comes with usb stick, containing driver and windows software, so you can get up and running in minutes. Accessories included, four legs, which are used to accommodate larger items, a few bits of 2mm plywood and pieces of card. These require you to get a feeling of how high you need to set the laser power, so i’d recommend practicing on them before starting on any project. I particularly like the way you can position the laser on top of the workpiece, and burn through the base. Windows software is a doddle to use.

Very cool engraving laser. Works like a printer on any surface. Burns wood nicely and precisely. Software for iphone is very simple to handle and connects easily to the device. When engraving wood you get a nice smell of a fireplace in the house.
