This was a perfect item. In my apartment the hall light switch is not near the outside door, but down the hall with the bathroom light. I mounted this above my entry door so now if i go out i no longer have to leave the hall light on. It is extremely fast to come on using the motion detector function and i counted that it goes out about 8 seconds after movement stops. I even tested it by facing it when it was lit and froze in position. After it went out i probably moved my head only about one degree, slowly, and it came back on so it has an excellent motion detector. Just so you know i opted for the bright white version an plan to purchase more, most likely another bright white and most likely two of the cool white versions for other locations in my home.

The sensor is very sensitive. The small issue would be more about the Scotch tape than the positive and negative magnets, but Simon, great item.
