This is my 2nd rapoo gaming mouse. Arrived safely with all the promised accessories included.
My 1st one is a vt1 pro max turns out too small for me (18cm length hand). Now i am have vt7 which is bigger. I am relocating my vt1 to my laptop due to its “mobile class” size. Please check my photo, comparing my razer basilisk ultimate (left), vt7 max (mid) and vt1 pro max (right). Vt7 is the best size for me.
Vt7 max belongs to their 2nd gen of vt mice which can be configured by webpage, easy to use, no installation needed. This also means you can use it easily on your company issued laptop which you cannot install driver software at will (need your it team approval). And this time, the custom button on the buttom can be used for switching between profiles which gen1 cannot do = multiple profiles onboard is implemented.
Usb receiver can be stored inside the mouse. Cable of vt1 can be reused for vt7.
Regarding the optical clicks, i have no problem with them, i don’t think it feels different.

This mouse is so good, has s-tier performance, is lightweight, has a long-term battery, and the main clicks are as good as razer optical gen3. The side clicks are good, the scroll wheel is okay, my version has a coating, and it is very good, the feet are fast, the dongle os beautiful and is useful with the rgb light, to view what dpi or profile is set, and the software is the best i’ve used.
The disadvantages are that it’s not flat in the back, has a step in the center, the scroll wheel is a little hard to press, and the bottom is a little heavier than the top because the battery is placed vertically.

Weight is light, buttons work well, scrollwheel feels good.
Web software is easy to manage and i changed my settings in 1 minute, no problem.
Looks really cool and suits my grip style well.
In 4th pic i put it next to the logitech g pro wireless, the size is similar, but weight, shape and feel is better on vt7 max.
Coating is a bit too slippery for me so i added griptape.
Only downside is the cable, its too rigid and a bit hard to connect. Wont be an issue when im actually using the mouse lol

A great mouse, the specifications leave NOTHING to be desired, VERY COMPLETE software, excellent coating, BATTERY LASTS A LONG TIME (I’ve been using it for 16 days alternating between 8000hz and 125hz polling rate and it’s still at 50% battery), I switched from a g502 hero to this one, my grip is palm and I adapted VERY WELL.
