Product Description:

The cable is a Self-regulating / Self-limiting heating cable, often described as heat trace cable or heating tape, however this cable automatically adjusts heat output as needed, based on surface temperature. Ideal for freeze protection and low temperature process maintenance such as your RV’s fresh water supply tubing in need of heat protection, the smaller volume of fluids within these lines are normally the first to freeze up and restrict flow in cold weather.

This cable is a great remedy for those longer runs that are exposed to the cold, the heat cable length can customized, please contact us and the length can be easily shortened in the field to fit if needed, or you can use multiple cables wired in parallel for those longer lengths. Works great on either Pex style or Vinyl reinforced fresh water supply lines. Just securely zip-tie the cable along the length of the tubing ensuring the entire length of tubing along with all fittings and connectors are in direct contact with the cable to prevent freezing. If you elect to take it a step further, wrapping the tubing in foil (sold separately) and/or insulating the tubing and cable with something like pipe wrap insulation will allow operation in even lower temperatures.

And of course, the cable can be used for other heating applications with low voltage DC power supply.
