I have about fifteen of this model (TRV06 or ME167) which replaced a previous model of connected valves that were too noisy and complex to configure or modify locally. This model is very simple and reliable to set up / connect through its Zigbee gateway to the Tuya ecosystem. Manual temperature adjustment on the device is also very simple: just turn the dial. There is a child lock that can be activated. And most importantly: the operation of this motor is very quiet! The day and night compared to the previous model, which is important in a bedroom or any quiet room.

I ordered one piece to test and then ordered an additional 6. The product is excellent and comes with all the adapters to make it compatible with all brands of radiators. The small adapter (made of plastic) is installed, and then the thermostat is screwed onto it. The Zigbee connection allows for seamless integration with Home Assistant without any issues. The quality of the product is good and it is very easy to use. The battery consumption is very reasonable. If I had to find a small negative point, it would be the instruction manual, which is very brief and either in English or Chinese. Good product. It has been running on a radiator since the weekend. If the long-term trial is positive, the other devices will also be equipped with this thermostat. I use the thermostat outside the smartHome app. I use ZigBee2Mqtt + the ZigBee gateway from Sonoff and control the whole system via NodeRed. This allows me to remain an independent manufacturer. The only prerequisite is MQTT, which is automatically provided by the ZigBee2MQTT app for all ZigBee devices. WARNING: The Wi-Fi version of this device was not usable for me outside of the smartHome app…

I bought this head on Ali to automate the heating without overpaying for expensive brands. The package arrived in 10 days – as expected for free shipping from China, a very good result.
The price-to-quality ratio is an absolute hit. Pairing via Zigbee went smoothly, and the device does not lose its range. I was most afraid of the noise, but the motor is so quiet that the head easily ended up in the bedroom and doesn’t wake me up at night. The aesthetic display is another plus.
But to avoid being too sweet: attention during assembly! The adapters included in the set are made of quite soft plastic. Over-tightening with force can quickly cause the thread to break. The instruction manual can also be thrown away – it’s an unreadable micro-printed text.
Conclusion: If you approach the installation carefully, the head does exactly what it promises at a fraction of the price of European competitors.
