I was doubtful they would stay in place but their adhesion is veru strong. I stuck 2 on inside cover of my leather notebook sleeve – this was on the rough side of the leather – no sign of coming off and the loop is great size for hongdian metal bodied black forest fountain pens. They ate held very securely
