normal. plastic, overall well-made (plastic is stiffer than holders for 2*AAA and 1*AAA). I was surprised that both holders I ordered have two springs for the negative contacts – with a small outer ring, two with a large one (as shown in the photo); the springs themselves are attracted by a magnet. The wires – although thin, are multi-core, do not attract magnets (previously encountered wires and contact groups that were magnetic, only copper-plated); checked them with a tester – there is contact. Rivets-contacts-brass, are not attracted by the magnet).

Arrived a little late to california. Excellent battery holders. Used them in a project and they’re exactly what i needed. Price is just right to overlook a couple little things, like the wire is actually just clamped in when they pressed the terminals into the plastic. Not exactly high amperage so this isn’t an issue unless you plan on having it moving around, then they’ll break off. I’m using the holders in a fixed spot that’s pressed into a 3d printed case so it’s perfect for me.

really very good. Unlike another brand I purchased previously, this holder does not clamp the battery too tightly, allowing the spring to properly contact the battery’s positive terminal.
