Dual Audio-Visual Alarm: When the concentration of combustible gases or carbon monoxide reaches a preset threshold, the device will trigger the corresponding alarm. Different concentrations of combustible gases will cause different colored indicator lights to flash. When the concentration exceeds 3000 PPM, the red indicator light will flash and an 85-decibel alarm will sound; the carbon monoxide concentration is displayed in real time on the screen in PPM units.

So far, it hasn’t been necessary for the device to report back, and I can only hope that will continue to be the case. And the green indicator is actually very intense, but it doesn’t bother me at all in the basement.
