This wifi adapter is perfect for its price, but 600mbps is a little bit of a marketing trick:
-2.4ghz band: up to 150 mpbs: this is very slow for today’s standard and also the signal weakens highly with distance. If you are not too far from your router you could expect stable 120mbps.
-5ghz band: this is where it shines. Up to 430 mbps with a longer range. I use it on a very stretched house, meaning i am perhaps 25m away from the router and there are 4 walls in between. Still i have a very stable 250mpbs connection.
For this price, i can’t be happier. Also it is durable, i have been using this same model for years.
