This tube amplifier works flawlessly, although the sound is a bit flat. However, after replacing the tubes with “united states rca 5654 tubes” the sound is undoubtedly fuller and richer. And if you add a active subwoofer to the pre-out and the appropriate presets for e.g. Fxsound as a software equalizer in windows, the listening experience is quite good for such a device. Therefore, i can recommend this amplifier.

My mc331 is better than i had anticipated (with a couple caveats). The sound is clear, and the tubes impart with slight warmth you look for with a tube (hybrid) amplifier. 100w is plenty enough for my desktop needs, and i wouldn’t hesitate using it with larger (efficient) speakers. The bass/treble adjustments are adequate but coarse. I paired this with application based eq for great results. I love the retro vu meter and the front panel headphone jack (3.5mm). It supports a variety of inputs and the dial to select them is easy to use. I noticed a low level noise in rca mode that persisted after 3 different sets of tubes, but an in-line attenuator solved the problem.
I recommend the fosi mc331 for folks who want a bit better (nostalgic) sound from a small footprint amplifier. Bluetooth makes it convenient to use with phones, tablets, etc as well. One note however, it is considerably smaller than the product photography makes it appear.

Once i learned that an external dac is the way to improving your stereo listening quality, i searched for a solution. I am so happy i decided on the mc331 from fosi audio. It delivers beautiful clear sound from cd’s and dvd’s, your television, internet streaming, your phone, your stereo receiver, just about every conceivable connectivity option imaginable. I chose it for all those reasons plus it has a connection for a subwoofer and headphones. All this in a tiny package with those cute little tubes sticking out of the top. I love it. The price is a bargain for this quality and connectivity. I use mine with a pair of b&w v201 speakers and a yamaha yst-sw215 sub-woofer. The sound is amazing! I highly recommend it.

Excellent design, even has a remote control. I use wired earbuds watching tv at night in bed. The standard digital optical output doesn’t always have enough power for some ear monitors. This baby lets you crank it up. Good quality sound is a plus.

I really like this little integrated for small systems. It does so much well for so little money. I think the tubed preamp circuit does add a touch of finesse to the mighty fine class d amplification. Everything works very well, especially considering what’s packed into this small box.
I use mine in the bedroom with small full range speakers. The bass octaves are covered by a fosi tp-02 subwoofer amplifier. The two amps are linked by a 3.5mm cable, and the line out works great in terms of both audio quality and gain. It can be so frustrating to have gain mismatches and this pair works well. I love that fosi has made it so simple for people to expand their systems for exciting gains in sound quality. The sound of the fosi amps and my modest speakers are impressive in our bedroom.
