What is The Linglong Craftsmanship?
Linglong porcelain is one of the four traditional famous porcelains in Jingdezhen. The Linglong technique refers to the use of the open – work carving process. Craftsmen manually carve "rice – grain – shaped" holes, namely "Linglong eyes", on the embryo body. Then, special transparent glaze is filled in, and the whole is glazed and fired. After the glaze melts at high temperature, it forms a translucent "glass window" effect. The holes are transparent to light but do not leak water at all, and the technical difficulty is extremely high. The firing temperature of Linglong porcelain is above 1300℃. The glaze color is mainly traditional virid green. Evolving to the contemporary era, it has developed into colorful Linglong (multiple colors such as red, yellow, blue, etc.).
The Linglong technique originated in the Hongzhou Kiln in the Tang Dynasty in 618 AD. By the Xuande period of the Ming Dynasty (1426 AD – 1435 AD), it was greatly developed and innovated into blue – and – white Linglong porcelain. In the Qing Dynasty, it was expanded to display porcelains such as lamps and incense burners. In modern times, colorful Linglong and thin – bodied Linglong leather lamps have been developed.
Linglong porcelain achieves "translucent but not leaking" through open – work carving and glaze filling, representing the peak of Chinese – style carving techniques. However, due to the extremely high production difficulty, very few Linglong porcelains have been passed down. Even in modern times, even with a more advanced working environment in modern culture, because the difficulty of pure manual carving is extremely high, the number of craftsmen is still small. Moreover, under the influence of the core secrets of Linglong glaze never being disclosed, the production capacity is still very low. Even on the Chinese market, it is currently extremely rare.

Brand Story
Lianhua Pottery: Inheriting Craftsmanship, A Millennium of Culture
I. A Millennium of Porcelain Legacy: From Ancient Roots to Everlasting Glory
The story of Lianhua Pottery begins over a thousand years ago in Jingdezhen—a city celebrated as China's porcelain capital since the Song Dynasty (960–1279 AD). Nestled at the foot of Lotus Mountain, a place revered for its spiritual beauty, generations of artisans believed this sacred landscape ignited their creative brilliance. Over centuries, this mountain became a gathering place for master potters, and Lianhua Pottery emerged as the guardian of their artistic lineage.
II. Mastery Through Generations: The Art of Linglong and Blue & White
Lianhua Pottery preserves two pinnacles of Chinese porcelain craftsmanship:
Linglong Porcelain: Originating in the Northern Song Dynasty (1004 AD), this "rice-grain" lattice technique transforms clay into ethereal, light-filtering vessels.
Blue & White Porcelain (Qinghua): Born in the Tang Dynasty (618–907 AD) and perfected during the Yuan (1271–1368 AD), its cobalt brushwork captures the soul of Chinese ink painting.
Qinghua Linglong: A Qing Dynasty (1636–1912 AD) innovation merging both arts—delicate lattices framed by indigo landscapes.
Today, Lianhua's three iconic collections—Linglong, Qinghua, and Qinghua Linglong—stand as the crystallization of wisdom from generations of artisans, each piece a dialogue between dynasties.
III. Where Nature and Art Converge
Inspired by Lotus Mountain's ever-changing seasons, our craftsmen translate nature's poetry into porcelain. Spring's cherry blossoms bloom on teacups, autumn's golden hues ripple across vases, and winter's frost etches delicate patterns onto plates. Every brushstroke and carved lattice captures the mountain's breath, transforming functional ware into vessels of living art.
IV. The inheritance of culture
Lianhua Pottery, with each of its works, tell the world the stories of the craftsmen at the foot of Lotus Mountain over the past thousand years. It is not only a handicraft, but also a cultural heritage, carrying the millennium old porcelain culture of Jingdezhen and the craftsmen's narration of nature.

FAQ
1. What if my item arrives damaged?
Contact customer service within 48 hours of delivery with clear photos of the packaging and damaged item. We will send a replacement or issue a refund promptly.
2. How do I clean this porcelain product?
Our high-temperature glazed porcelain resists stains. For daily care:
• Hand wash gently with mild soap and warm water.
• Remove tea/coffee stains using lemon juice, baking soda, or white vinegar.
• Avoid abrasive tools (e.g., steel wool).
• Do not dishwasher — harsh detergents may damage the surface.
3. Can I heat this mug in a microwave or oven?
Safe for heating if:
• Plain translucent porcelain (no surface art/glazing).
• Underglaze designs (colors fused under the glaze).
• No cracks (inspect before heating).
• Limit: Microwave ≤90 seconds per cycle; oven ≤300°F (150°C).
Do NOT heat if:
• Painted/gilded decorations (e.g., gold patterns or hand-drawn art).
• Contains metal elements (rims, handles, decals).
4. Will the color and size match the photos exactly?
Color variations may occur due to:
• Lighting during photography.
• Screen brightness/calibration.
Handcrafted uniqueness: Subtle variations (glaze texture, brushstrokes) are marks of authenticity.
Size: Measurements are approximate (±1 cm variance acceptable).
Note: Photos cannot capture the porcelain's texture — the smooth glaze, delicate hollowed patterns, and handcrafted details make each piece uniquely beautiful.
5. Warning
• Handle with care — avoid impacts with hard objects.
• Do not expose to direct flames or extreme heat. Sudden temperature changes may cause cracking.
6. Product Craftsmanship Notes
Natural phenomena (non-quality issues, safe for use):
a. Tiny black spots: Minerals like iron may create harmless spots after high-temperature firing.
b. Slight dents: Caused by manual processes or clay moisture variations.
c. Micro pinholes: Formed when gases escape the glaze during firing.
d. Gold edge thickness: Hand-painted edges vary slightly due to brushstrokes and firing — an artisanal signature.
e. Linglong eye micro-bubbles: Tiny air bubbles may appear in the delicate Linglong eyes. This is a natural result of handcrafting, and while it is extremely difficult to eliminate entirely in luxury porcelain, our exceptional craftsmanship ensures such details remain rare and subtle, a testament to the artisanal nature of our work.
