This is the second one of these i’ve purchased after the first malfunctioned after a week (the right half of the keypad went dead!) So far, so good with this second one. I of course put f4hwn custom firmware on this to max out it’s capabilities/functionality. With the custom firmware, this, and all quanshengs, go from being just another “meh” ht, nothing special or different about it from any other brand, to being supercharged! From roughly double scan speed, three scan groups, many more variable settings for the backlight, the power level, improved airband, etc, etc ,etc, anyone who doesn’t change the firmware may as well have bought any other low cost brand, because they’re not taking advantage of what makes these special. I almost forgot, the improvement in the k1 series is much larger memory, allowing for even more potential. (you don’t have to pick and choose a firmware anymore, it can have all the features!) I also got mine for a steal … Collect and use those coins, people!
