Pretty good range, tested with 433mhz fixed code and rolling code remotes. All of them worked first try. The only problem is the idiot battery placement. You have a battery cover, you can look at the battery, but you have to unscrew and take apart the whole thing to change the battery. I think all the bad reviews just tried to copy a rolling code remote and forgot to pair it with the receiver
